Face
Lift
Over
time, the long-term effects of gravity, exposure to sun, dry air,
and general stress takes its toll on an individual's face and
neckline. Jowls can develop under the jawline with folds and fat
deposits. Sometimes creases begin to form between the nose and the
mouth.
A
facelift can considerably reduce these signs of aging by removing
excess fat, tightening the underlying muscles, and redraping the
skin around the neck and face. Facelifts can be done alone, or are
frequently performed in conjunction with another procedure such as
a browlift, eyelid surgery, or nose reshaping. If your problem
areas are limited to the neck, a more conservative procedure,
known as a "platysmaplasty"
may be recommended. In some cases, a facelift can reduce the
outward signs of aging by ten or fifteen years.
Eyelid
Surgery
Eyelid
surgery (blepharoplasty)
is a procedure, most often performed in the office, that restores
a more youthful, well-rested, and vibrant appearance to the eyes
by redistributing fat bags and removing excess skin and muscle
from the upper and lower eyelids.
Eyelid
surgery can correct drooping upper lids, puffy bags above and
below your eyes, redundant upper eyelid skin, and hanging lower
lid skin. All of these features can give you the appearance of
being older and more tired than you feel, and may even interfere
with your vision. While it can add an upper eyelid crease to Asian
eyes, it will not erase evidence of your ethnic or racial
heritage.
Forehead
Lift
A
forehead lift or "browlift" is a procedure, performed on
an outpatient basis, that restores a more youthful, refreshed, and
cheery look to the forehead, eyebrows and upper eyelid areas. By
removing excess skin, the procedure corrects drooping brows,
improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make you look
angry, sad or tired, and tightens the skin of the upper eyelid.
The incisions are well hidden along the frontal hairline or in the
hair. A limited incision browlift is another alternative.
This type of browlift uses a short scar and is perfect for
patients needing rejuvenation along the lateral brow.
The
particular type of incision to be used is dependent on your goals
and desires. Also, a forehead lift is often performed in
conjunction with eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) or a facelift to
provide a smoother, overall balanced look to the eyes and face.
Nose
Surgery
Rhinoplasty
(surgery to reshape the nose) can change the size of your nose
(smaller or bigger), take off a hump, change the shape of the tip,
narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your
nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or
injury, or help relieve some breathing problems by straightening
the septum. There are so many possible ways to change the
appearance of the nose that it is important that you have a
specific idea of what you would like corrected.
